I explored Graph Search Live

Graph Search just rolled out today on my Facebook Accounts. I explored and was quite happy with the experience. Definitely a new one, within in a nice graphic environment and with intuitive auto-deducting engine that offers possibilities to filter and point.

Accumulating Fans on Facebook Is Useless…

Unless You Have Got What They Are Specifically Looking For

Size never matters, Quality does… Always! It’s better to have 100 advocates only, than have 100,000 fans or friends. This has been my credo ever since I started Social Media.

Some truth about Blogs and Blogging in 2012

Some truth about Blogs and Blogging in 2012

Blogs and Blogging – more than 500,000,000 Spaces of Freedom

A true success story

This trendy mode of expression first appeared in the 1990’s. It was about some geeks sharing their interests and thoughts with their fellow geeks on the cybersphere.

Initially designed as a web journal where personal stories, thoughts and events were logged into, the Blog is the contraction, a portemanteau of weB Log. It then created a buzz about creating content, which in turn, developped into a lucrative business. Remember Huffington Post which started as a blog to become today’s topmost content aggregator, weighing more than $ 500M. But it is still a hard way to make sustainable revenue at personal level. Facebook like any Civilized Society won’t Tolerate Racism…

And so will all other respected and respectable Social Media and Networks

There has recently been that racist scandal quaking the Mauritian Facebook Networks. It  links a 20 yr-old girl to some highly racist commentaries towards a fasting community. And like for those who saw the content expressed in dirty Mauritian Creole, there was my first reaction :

She should be arrested, as per the country’s legal standing on libeling, defamation and propagating racism and hatred messages, without regards if that was done online or not. It should go the same way, too, for the persons responsible, the owner/ creator of the Facebook Group or Page, who allowed such commentaries to be issued from their source.

e-Reputation Monitoring and Management! How does this work?

e-Reputation is a real issue for modern Brands

Reputation, at all levels, makes the persona, makes the Brand, determines success or failure.

A good e-reputation is source of trust and peace of mind. It conveys confidence and a sense of pride. Such qualities, in return, bring in referrals and positive engagement either in terms of business/ market share or in terms of aura or personal charisma. And this is good for the ROI. So You Would Like to Create a Community… Here are 21 tips to This

Community – The Word

Overview: The word “community” is derived from the Old French communité which is derived from the Latin communitas (cum, “with/together” + munus, “gift”), a broad term for fellowship or organized society. A Community is a group of interacting people, living in some proximity (i.e., in space, time, or relationship). Community usually refers to a social unit larger than a household that shares common values and has social cohesion…

Strangely enough, building a community has become today’s big online challenge.  But we tend to forget that We, human beings, are nothing but social animals that flock together and use our unique intelligence to rule over the foodchain and stay ontop of Earth’s global eco-system. This has been thus since the beginning of times and is inscribed in our genes, in our DNA.

The use of technology has changed our social behaviour and rules guiding the ways to interact in the real world. We find ourselves serving technology instead of having technology helping us to enhance our social interaction in the real world. We are only helping technology to get more awesome everyday, while we are turning out to be unrelated individuals on the streets. Strangely, we are getting closer virtually but moving further apart in real life.
